I was involved in a rear end collision back in March of 2016. An uninsured driver wasn’t paying attention and rammed my Smart Car. I’ve dealt with Hergott law for two separate claims, the latest one was a motorcycle crash in which I was not at fault. When I came to Hergott for the second claim, Hergott Law stood on their head to ensure that the paperwork went through on the very last day of the limitation period to protect my rights. In the most professional manner, the staff then collected the information needed to proceed with the rest of the claim. The Case Managers and everyone I spoke with in the firm from top to bottom, including Paul were very professional and my claim was dealt with very thoroughly. When we shook hands Paul said he thought “we might get along” if I was honest with him and would try my best to make a full recovery. This would mean following the advice of my healthcare professionals, working hard to regain range of motion, physical strength and full recovery, push, push yourself to get better!!
Years passed by, despite my best efforts full recovery has not happened.
What is fair compensation? No amount of money can repair life changing, damaged tissue, I would be more than happy to have my previous pain free life back!!

I had a challenging case from two separate car accidents within one year, and neither one of them my fault. Paul and his team took on this challenge and exceeded our expectations. In January of 2017, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which I was injured. At the time, I did not know how serious my injuries were and received only minor treatment for them. On December 19, 2015 I was struck down by a utility vehicle on a crosswalk and was hospitalized with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Everyone, including the RCMP officers who attended my accident advised me to get legal representation in my insurance claim with ICBC. I was very anxious and confused. I thought I should be able to get a fair settlement from the insurance company without lawyers. I was so wrong!

My husband gets the credit for this suggestion although I use this everyday in my work as a therapist. He mentioned the importance of using mindfulness while driving. He believes it is more effective to be fully aware and present in the moment without judgement as opposed to thinking about where you need to be and how late you are. Mindfulness is widely used for emotion regulation and there is no better place to use it than in traffic.

We were planning to have a fun girl’s weekend, shopping and visiting a spa and relatives. All plans were off as I was a passenger in a vehicle rear ended- in a multiple car accident. Dear Paul Hergott, It was in September 2011, we had sought your advice for an ICBC case. Due to family illness & stresses, we followed your wise counsel & settled the case. Looking back, we so appreciated your valuable time, honesty, and integrity and wise words – my son needed Mom by his side. Today we are grateful my son Jon is still with us & healing, having survived cancer & treatments for over 2 years, we hold onto hope for his future. It’s difficult to find words to adequately express our deep gratitude… from our family to yours – Thank you!!!
One Crash is too Many is a campaign aimed at bringing awareness, knowledge and heart to a cause punctured by sorrow, injury and bereavement. As a mother whose daughter died in a single vehicle accident, I applaud the efforts of this movement, where the main focus is on saving lives. The extensive impact of vehicle accidents shatters those who are involved; either directly or in some way, people are being altered, forever. The pledge needed to express change is within our own communities. To be aware of road conditions and adhere to the rules of the road is to avoid the anguish and immeasurable loss I live with continually.
Hi Paul. This is a small token to say “thank you” for your information and guidance re: my claim regarding a fall at Yamas restaurant Dec. 17/11. This resulted in a satisfactory reimbursement and I do appreciate all you did.

I can honestly say that Terri and Paul Hergott raised the bar in their fundraising efforts supporting our 2011 Swinging with the Stars event. Their attention to detail, professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association is second to none….and they can heat up the dance floor pretty well too!”
Ron and I are just sitting here shaking our heads in disbelief that someone as busy as you would take the time to talk to us about my problem. You have no idea how much your words of advice have comforted me. I know that in your practice you are met with victims of MVA’s who are suffering and need legal help/advice and it makes me feel good to know that someone like you is there to help. You didn’t need to spend precious time on a Sunday night talking to us, but you did. We will never forget your kindness and it makes us happy to know there are good people out there who really care. I am so very grateful that I was guided to you, Paul, and to the wonderful women of Hergott Law. The immense patience and consideration you have given was a gift as generous as the actual monetary settlement – however, it is the gift that will live on forever in my heart, long after the money.
