Jillian articled with Hergott Law and was called to the Bar in the Province of British Columbia in 2016. Jillian has devoted her legal career so far to assisting innocent victims of car crashes pursue fair treatment and compensation for their injuries. Knowing that the pain and stress of being in a crash can be overwhelming, Jillian’s goal is always to handle your claim with empathy and to make the process as simple and comprehensible as possible. As an avid cyclist, she is particularly passionate about helping fellow cyclists achieve justice in their personal injury claims.
Jillian graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan Campus in 2011 with a Bachelor of the Arts (Honours Designation) and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2015. During her time at the University of Victoria, Jillian spearheaded a number of social justice initiatives, volunteered for Pro Bono Students of Canada, and was a member of the intramural basketball and rugby teams.
Jillian grew up in Kelowna and is proud to say she’s a fifth-generation resident of the city. Jillian enjoys travel and has visited 38 countries so far – highlights include a solo wander through the Balkans, working on an organic farm in rural Australia, and craning her neck at condors in the mountains of Peru. When she’s home in Kelowna, she sticks to reading novels, hiking Knox Mountain with her dog, and pretending she’s a better cook than she really is.
